BIG SIR DARRYL ALBERTSON SAYS:
Here are some
ideas of how to have fun without burning a lot of expensive gas:
Play nine holes
of golf with SIR on Mondays and Thursdays at Pleasanton Fairgrounds.
Play 18 holes at
Callippe golf course in Pleasanton once a month with SIR…Go wine tasting once a
month at a great Livermore winery with the SIR group (Bring your wife.)
Attend the
monthly SIR meeting in San Ramon.
Tell a friend
about these great opportunities and bring him to a meeting!
LITTLE SIR JOHN SANCHES SAYS:
Our guest speaker for the August meeting is Mr. A.J. Simon. A.J. received his Bachelors and Masters
degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University in 1998 and 2000,
respectively. In time A.J. went on to
spend 2 years at General Electric's Global Research Center in Niskayuna, New
York. As a mechanical engineer in the Combustion laboratory, he performed
experiments and designed the laboratory for diesel combustion research related
to GE's locomotive product line. In 2003 he joined Global Climate and Energy
Project at Stanford, where he is an Energy Systems Analyst. In that role he has
mentored students and is also a lecturer.

see where a treasurer (Vern Anderson, Al Baer or Tom Reif) is sitting and buy

If you are unable to attend a luncheon please email or call Steve as soon as you are aware that you are unable to attend. We need to give San Ramon Country Club the number of how many lunches to prepare 10 days prior to the meeting. When you email or call, give your name and your badge number.
NOTE: If member knows
a month or more in advance they will be missing a meeting there are future
months sign up sheets at the attendance table (we find many members are unaware
of this method).
SPECIAL EVENTS
CARINGBRIDGE
Caringbridge is an organization that offers easy-to-create websites that help connect family and friends in time of need such as during recovery from an accident or illness. This service is free and can be accessed at www.caringbridge.com.
The way it works is that the author establishes the website that is accessed through their website and publishes information that he or she wishes known about the subject person. Only the established author can post information. In addition to providing status updates, the author can request help. Access to the site is controlled because only those to whom the author has given the site address within the caringbridge website can access it.
The branch 34 Executive Committee has decided to support this program and the immediate Past Big Sir will be the contact.
